I have worked with computers since the mid 80's and with websites since 1994... my knowledge has evolved along with the internet.

The websites that I build are all hand-coded, using modern style-sheet techniques - I use my experience and skill to create standards-compliant websites that look smart, load fast, and have good search term density. This means that your website will be search-engine-friendly, and it will display properly in almost any web browser.

I am a person with strong ethics - I enjoy working with aware people and I care about providing a good and fair service to my clients!

I am a firm believer in client consultation - it's your website after all - and along with good design and usability, your web site should be tailored to your business requirements. To that end, I consult with my clients at each stage of the development of their website.

And to facilitate this process, you should research just what it is that you want your website to do for you, and how you want your website to look. We can then put it all together via email, Skype, telephone, the web - and personal consultation visits can be arranged if needed. And it all results in a website that looks great - and works really well too!

Terms and Conditions

The following Terms and Conditions apply to most of Satch Norton's projects, specific Terms and Conditions will be included in the Estimate for your project.

Prices and Quotations

All prices are given in GBP (Pounds Sterling). Prices are valid for three months from the date quoted in the Quotation or Proposal document, but are subject to change at the discretion of Satch Norton. Satch Norton has the right to change his hourly rates without notice, but he will inform existing clients before proceeding with any additional work outside of any agreed Quotations or Proposals.

Consultations and Expenses

Satch Norton does not charge for initial consultations, but travel expenses may be requested at his discretion.

Payment Schedules and Invoices

Payments are usually scheduled in 3 stages, the first stage being one third (1/3rd) of the final Estimate as supplied by Satch Norton. Payment of this first amount indicates the Clients agreement with and acceptance of the specific Terms and Conditions shown in the final Estimate document. The second payment, also of one third (1/3rd) of the final Estimate as supplied by Satch Norton, will be made when the Client approves the final site design. The third and final payment will be made when the site is completed and before it is made public, and will be adjusted to reflect any changes or additions to the website as defined in the Estimate document in terms of design, content or functionality. Satch Norton reserves the right to refrain from starting or continuing any agreed work until the requested deposit/s have been received and the funds cleared in his bank. Any additional time or costs incurred to Satch Norton may be charged and invoiced as additional costs at the discretion of Satch Norton.

Timescales and Deadlines

Satch Norton aims to complete all agreed work within a reasonable timescale as agreed in the final Estimate document. Clients will be informed if for any reason there are any delays in completing the work and given regular updates on the site progress.

Whilst the above Terms and Conditions reflect the general operating principles of Satch Norton, specific projects may be subject to slightly different terms and conditions. Terms and Conditions specific to each project will be supplied with proposal and estimate documents.
